Mike Reisenberg was born Sept. 22 1946 in Cincinnati. Ohio
His talent was recognized at an early age and he attended special classes at Cincinnati Art Museum; as he says, “I could draw at the age of six as well as I draw today.”
From 1965 to ‘70 Mike studied Painting and Print Making at Miami University / BFA and The University of Cincinnati. After four years working in commercial Art for Levitz Furniture and one week at Gibson Cd., Mike decided commercial art wasn’t for him and he moved to Arizona, to see the Desert and to paint.
Mike’s Desert paintings sold well as He
exhibited at the Inn at Furnace Creek, Grand Canyon & Sedona Az. In 1977 Mike returned to Cincinnati took a teaching job and stopped painting. In 1980 Mike married his wife, Pam; moved to Virginia and again was consumed by the desire to paint. It took another 20 years of sporadic work but in 2003 Mike closed one of his businesses in order to paint full time. Mike’s favorite medium is oil. He took up Pastels because he thought it would be a better medium than watercolor for on location sketches. It was love at first try. Mike now respects Pastels as a medium in and of itself. In his 1st. year back Mike completed over 75 paintings.
Mike now has over 1000 images. Enhanced Digital Photos are his newest medium, rewarding him with some Best of Show Awards.
